Sorry for the lack of updates on our school year.
Just thought I'd update quickly with what the kids have been learning - sorry no pics this time.
Mj (1st grade):
Bible - We finished reading a biography about Adoniram Judson. Mj really enjoyed it. We're now talking about how God gave us the Scriptures and how important it is to read our Bibles.
Phonics - Suffixes and prefixes have been our focus for the past week.
Reading - Lots of fun stories that he has enjoyed reading.
Heritage Studies - We've been talking about the 4 basic needs that everyone has - food, clothing, shelter, and love.
Science - We've studied sound. Sound travels in all directions. Sound travels through liquids, gases, and solids.
Jadyn (tot school):
Jadyn's vocabulary is just exploding right now! It's so fun to listen to her talk and talk.
We've been working on colors. She knows that buses are yellow.
She's been doing such a good job with her puzzles and shape sorting.
She's been enjoying drawing on the erasable board and wall (thank goodness for Mr. Clean Magic
Erasers!)
Only a couple more weeks of school. We're all looking forward to summer break!
