Trying to Get Back in the Swing of Things

Well after being gone for 2 weeks on vacation in Miami, Mj was not very excited to get back to a schedule and do school but we both survived the week and I think Mj learned something this week.

Bible: Mj learned about Moses' call to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, the plagues, and crossing the Red Sea. Mj memorized Exodus 14:31 "And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feard the Lord, and believed the Lord, and His servant Moses."
Mj added Moses to our Bible timeline.

Putting the events of Moses' life in order.
English: Mj learned what a noun was a the different ways to make a singular noun a plural noun.

Reading: Mj read a story about Billy Sunday. He really enjoyed learning about this great preacher.
Mj working on his reading paper. I guess it was bright in the school room.
Math: Subtraction has been the focus this week.
Mj enjoyed reviewing his addition facts with the magnets.
Heritage Studies: Mj learned about farming of long ago and compared and contrasted it with farming of today.
Mj made a scarecrow for his garden.

Science: Mj started learning about different forces. We talked about gravity and how gravity pulls things down. We also talked about magnetic force.
Mj felt the push and pull of magnetic force with his Thomas Trains.
Not the best week by far attitude wise, but we did get things accomplished and for that I am happy.
