Bible: We have been going over the Christmas story. We started with Isaiah's prophecies of the Christ child and then saw how they were fulfilled in the New Testament. Mj memorized Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." I taught him how to sing this like they do in Handel's Messiah. He enjoyed sing "and the government shall be upon His shoulder."
Mj added Isaiah and Christ's birth to our Bible timeline.English: Mj learned about shape poems and wrote a shape poem in the shape of a monkey.
Reading: Mj read about service dogs this week. He also began Dr. Doolittle.
Mj's favorite spot to read.Math: Mj reviewed the hundreds, tens, and ones places.
Heritage Studies: Mj learned the things colonists ate and their etiquette rules.
Science: Mj learned about light. We did some experiments to show that light cannot bend; it only moves in a straight line. We also did an experiment with shadows.
An experiment - Can light bend?
