Mj was able to get a lot done in school this week. Here's what he did.
Bible: Mj learned about Nehemiah and rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. He memorized Psalm 133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." I was able to say this verse to him many times when he and his little sister were fighting.=)
Mj putting the books of the Old Testament in order.English: Mj wrote a book report about the bug book he had just read. After the written report was finished he had to give it orally. He did a great job even through all his nervousness!
Reading: Mj read a story about chipmunk who was looking for a king for his village.
Math: Mj worked on 3 digit addition. We got the education cubes out to practice his addition facts and to review money. I wrote another post on how we used the education cubes for our money review.
Rolling his addition fact.
Mj rolls the cube to find out what coin will come up.
Heritage Studies: My learned about a printing press.
Mj made his own type set.Science: We continued learning about living things. Mj learned that living things make new living things and living things grow.
Mj made the 4 stages of a butterfly's life cycle.
And his seed experiment proved that living things need water. Bag A had no water and the seed did not grow, but...
He also had co-op this week where he learned Spanish numbers and in art they drew backgrounds.
