Our Week in Review - Fractions, Stamp Act, & Volcanoes

Another week down!=) Here's what Mj did this week:

Bible: Mj learned about some of Jesus' miracles that He performed. Mj memorized Mark 4:41 "And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, 'What manner of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him'?"

English: Mj started writing a make-believe story. He had to plan his character, the character's problem, the solution to the problem, the setting. He wrote his first draft and revised his story so far.

Reading: Mj read a couple of stories about the ocean.

Math: Mj has been working on fractions. He loves fractions and has had no problem with them.

Heritage Studies: Mj learned about the Stamp Act and why the colonists were upset about the tax. He also learned about the Sons of Liberty.

Science: Mj learned about the inside of the earth and how scientists study the inside of the earth. He learned about the 3 parts - crust, mantle, and core.

We made our own volcano! The kids loved it!
