Our Week in Review - Muscles, Verbs, and A Cranky Crab

Well, this week did go much better than last week! Here's what Mj did this week.

Bible: Mj learned about Abraham Kuyper from the Netherlands who became an important man in the government of the Netherlands and shared his faith to those around him. Mj also learned about Paul's letter to Philemon. Mj memorized Psalm 103: 12 "As far as the east is from the west so far hath He removed our transgressions from us."

Mj added Abraham Kuyper to our time line.
English: Mj has been learning about verbs. This week he learned about linking verbs.

Math: Mj learned how to multiply by 0, 1, 2, 5, & 10.

We played the card game Play Nine to work on addition.
Reading: Mj read a story about a very cranky crab.

Heritage Studies: Mj learned about the French & Indian War. He couldn't believe it lasted over 70 years.

Science: Mj is learning about muscles. He learned about voluntary and involuntary muscles. He learned about skeletal, soft, and cardiac muscles. He also learned how our muscles aid in digestion.
Mj trying out his voluntary and involuntary eye muscles.
Art: Mj painted a beautiful picture of a golden retriever.
Our co-op took a field trip to local fire station. The kids had so much fun!
Seeing a firefighter uniform and how they put it on. It's amazing that they can put on all that equipment in 1 minute!

Checking out the infer-red camera they use at night and when there is a lot of smoke.

Sitting in the fire engine! Doesn't get much cooler than that!=)

Mj trying on the firefighter's hat!

The group with their own firefighter hats.
Thankful for a fun, good week of learning!
