Our Move to Miami

Finally, I can let you know about how our move went!  It's been a crazy couple of weeks.  When we came back from our vacation we had 1 day and then we had to pack the truck and head to Miami.

We sure had a lot to put in the truck.....

... but so thankful for an awesome church family who helped us pack.  We were done so early we didn't know what to do with ourselves.

But then it was time for the good-byes.  The part I had been dreading since we decided to move.  Mj's best friend Paton gave him a good-bye gift - a green light saber!

After the good-byes were said, it was time to load up the truck and Explorer with the kids and dog. The kids were so excited when it was their turn to drive with Mark in the big truck.

Streak was my guide on the way down.

After 2 and 1/2 days we finally made it to Miami!

But then we had to unpack all that stuff from the truck!

Thankfully,  Mj & Jadyn were able to go to the church's camp so I could get some unpacking done at home.  They loved camp!!!  Riding horses, archery, swimming, riding boats - what's not to love!

Mj helped us decide the colors for the boys room!  Don't worry, the tape is off and we have a nice red stripe around the room now.

Gabe was excited to be back in his crib!

Gabe decided to explore the dryer to make sure it worked!

It's definitely hot down here! But we find ways to stay cool!

The kids made their first phone call to their cousin Micah!  We sure do miss our family!!!

So that's a quick wrap up of our move.  We're adjusting to life down here.  Trying to find our way around, quickly learning some Spanish words, and getting to know people.  Mark loves his new job and the kids are making friends quickly!  Thank you so much for your prayers during this transition!!!
