Our happy-go-lucky Gabriel Christian turns 3 today!! Happy Birthday Gabey Baby! We love you so much!!! We continue to pray that you will understand your need of a Savior and that you will accept His gracious gift to you at a young age. We thank God for giving you to us!!! You bring so much laughter into our home!
Saturday morning, friends of ours called us up and asked if we wanted to join them at the zoo.
It was a perfect zoo day and we normally don't get to go with Mark so we loaded up everyone in the car and met our friends for a fun day at the zoo.
Jadyn & Mark pose with the elephant.
All the kids climb on the chameleon for a pic!
Job decided that the zoo was the perfect place to practice his new skill - grabbing his binkie out of his mouth and trying with all his might to get it back in his mouth.
4 months ago I was so scared lying on the operating table ready for the doctor to deliver my baby boy. I can't believe it's been 4 months! Job has added so much happiness in our lives. He's laughing, cooing, grabbing toys, getting closer to rolling over. He loves watching his older siblings. His face lights up and he smiles so big when they give him their attention (which is a lot of the time). I am so thankful for this sweet blessing God gave our family 4 months ago.
Mj had a rough day at school last night, so I told him that he and I could play a game after dinner just the 2 of us. He wanted to play Pick & Draw. It's been awhile since we've played this game. Actually, I don't think we've played it since we've moved. So we got the cards out and had a blast drawing cartoon faces. I forgot how much fun it is to play! I enjoyed some quality time with MJ, too. We both needed that! =)
I was dreading this day. My oldest son MJ was horrible to potty train. My memories of potty training him were most spent in tears. Jadyn was a breeze to potty train. She asked me one day to go potty and boom that was it. I had heard girls were easier to train than boys and I believed it after Jadyn. So here it is... Gabe's turning 3 at the end of the month, the holidays are over, I know he's "ready" so there is no excuse not to. So Monday morning I downloaded the Igo potty app, stuck Gabe in big boy undies and we began. Let me tell you the Igo potty app is awesome. The potty would call Gabe on my phone. Gabe would answer and the potty would say, "It's time to go Potty." Gabe would run to the potty as excited as he could be. The entire morning he stayed dry, but didn't go pee pee. I put him in a diaper during nap.... still dry when he woke up. So Mr. Potty called him on the phone. He ran into the potty and peed!!!!!! The next day he had some accidents in the morning and I was discouraged, but after naptime he went pee pee again. Wednesday came and I was so sick. I just didn't want to deal with messes and having go potty every 30 min so I stuck him in a diaper knowing that I'm probably ruining all the progress we had made. Nope, he came to me and said he had to go potty!!!!! He stayed dry all day Wednesday and Thursday!!!!! I was so excited. I took him to Target today to get a "Cars" toy for his reward. I'm so proud of my big boy!!!
It was great to back to our regular schedule after Christmas break. Jadyn was excited to get back to her school work and was very disappointed when I was too sick Wednesday and Thursday to do any school with her. Here's our week in pictures.
Working very hard on letter "g".
Reviewing letter "e". She keeps calling "e" "c". Any tips to help with that?
And learning "r"
Coloring 10 bananas and writing the number 10.
We talked about winter and snow. She still remembers all the snow we would get in Pennsylvania. She keeps asking when it will snow in Miami..... I'm so thankful that we had snow over Christmas when we visited Pennsylvania. =)
Memorizing the nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle."
Playing Blokus with MJ when he was home sick from school.
We're trying to teach Gabe how to play Candyland. Jadyn needs some practice on patience while teaching. LOL
