It is Not Death to Die
To leave this weary road,
And join the saints who dwell on high,
Who've found their home with God.
It is not death to close,
The eyes long dimmed by tears,
And wake with joy before Your throne,
Delivered from our fears.
O Jesus, conquering the grave.
Your precious blood has power to save.
Those who trust in You will in Your mercy find -
That it is not death to die.
It is not death to fling
Aside this earthly dust,
And rise with strong and noble wing,
To live among the just.
It is not death to hear
The key unlock the door
That sets us free from mortal years
To praise You evermore.
O Jesus, conquering the grave.
Your precious blood has power to save.
Those who trust in You will in Your mercy find -
That it is not death to die.

Week in Review
Mj:
Bible: We learned about Jesus' first miracles - turning water to wine, filling the nets with fish, healing the nobleman's son, and raising Jairus' daughter from the dead.
Phonics: learned "oo" sounds - long and short, we also talked about weather (tornadoes, hurricanes, lightning and thunder)
Reading: we read a story about going to the dentist, a model T car, and Daniel Boone
Math: We finished our chapter on money and began a chapter on solid figures.
Heritage Studies: We began a chapter on trading with the Indians. We learned what things the Indians wanted to trade for and what the settlers wanted to trade for.
Science: We studied our teeth. We learned the 3 parts of a tooth (crown, neck, and root). We also talked about our 2 sets of teeth. Mj pointed to his first set of teeth and his second set of teeth that are starting to come in. We also learned about the 3 types of teeth - sharp, pointed, and bumpy.
We worked on our colors and coloring.

Still, My Soul Be Still
We just bought the Getty's new Cd "Awaken the Dawn." I've been listening to this song over and over. The words and powerful and a great reminder for me to be still no matter what the circumstance in my life!
Still my soul be still
And do not fear
Though winds of change may rage tomorrow
God is at your side
No longer dread
The fires of unexpected sorrow
God You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone
Still my soul be still
Do not be moved
By lesser lights and fleeting shadows
Hold onto His ways
With shield of faith
Against temptations flaming arrows
God You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone
Still my soul be still
Do not forsake
The Truth you learned in the beginning
Wait upon the Lord
And hope will rise
As stars appear when day is dimming
God You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone
To rest in You alone
In You alone
