What a Big Girl!

Jadyn has started to "crawl." She's moving forward, but we're not exactly sure how she's doing it. She is also sitting up pretty well by herself. I can't believe how big she's getting and it's going soooooo...... fast!!!!!!!!! Friday, she will be 6 months old - half a year! Unbelievable! Where have those 6 months gone? Here are some pics of our big girl.

Mj's First Night in the Basement

On Wednesday night, Mj spent the night in his new room. It still has a little bit of work left, but it's done enough that he can sleep down there. After telling me he was "starting to cry tears" cause he was going to be all alone he went to sleep and then I cried. My big boy was all alone sleeping on a different floor of the house than me!!!!!! Mj loves his new room and his new bed.

Bath Time

We tried Jadyn out in her bath seat in the big bathtub. Mj was excited to have a bath with his baby sister. He enjoyed putting her new rubber duckies on her head.

Christmas Decorating

Over the weekend we decked the halls at our house! Jadyn got to put her ornament that Aunt Dawn-Dawn got her last year on the tree first. Jadyn wasn't sure if she liked the feel of the tree, but she sure did like the lights!=) Mj was a big help, too. Of course, all the ornaments were in one spot and at one level. I don't think he noticed that I moved them around after he was done. ;)

Letter from Uruguay

At the beginning of the school year, Mj and I learned about the post office. I had hime write a letter to one of our missionary's boys who is the same age as Mj. Well, he received a letter back from Josiah and was ecstatic to think that he got mail all the way from Uruguay! Josiah included a Uruguay sticker and a sticker of Uruguay's best soccer team.

First Snowfall of the Season

On Friday we had our first snowfall of the season! It was so beautiful!!! This was also Jadyn's first snow!=) I think she likes it! Next year, she and Mj will be sledding I'm sure!!!

A Painful Lesson

On Tuesday morning, I was carrying Jadyn down the steps, slipped on the first steps, and fell halfway down the steps (about 5 steps). I landed on my elbow and her legs. I called the doctor and he decided it would be best for her to have x-rays taken. So I grabbed the kids and off we went. Mj brought his human body book along and was asking me questions and then came up with his diagnosis. Thankfully, no broken bones were found.
Later that day Mj said to me, "Mom, God was with you and took care of you and Jadyn, didn't her?" What a great lesson for Mj to learn, I just wish it didn't have to be so painful! I'm still sore from the fall. Ouch!

Photographer Mj

Mj got a hold of the camera and took pics of Jadyn. Mark and I were laughing so hard at the pictures. There are about 20 pictures and these are definitely the best!!!

Wildwood Nature Center

We went to the Wildwood Nature Center in Harrisburg today for a field trip with the co-op. We started the day by finding animals in exhibit hall. There were alot of animals to find (muskrats, bees, ladybug, birds, snakes, etc.). Mj enjoyed the observation deck looking for birds and squirrels. He also enjoyed the tunnel under the tree. Then we all went for a nature hike with a guide. We learned facts about the plants and animals in the area. We learned that woodpeckers wrap their tongue around their brain to cushion it when pecking a tree and that snapping turtles do not hide in their shells. We also saw many things on our nature hike including a woolly bear caterpillar, a frog, mink poop, and owl throw-up. Very exciting!! ;)

Mj checking out a bird at the observation deck.

The boys enjoyed playing in the tunnel.

Mj learning about muskrats.

Jadyn enjoyed the nature center, too.

Camera Fun

The Last Practice and Game.

Mj's soccer season has come to an end. Well..... almost. We just found out tonight they'll be in a tournament on Nov.1. For their last practice the parents took on the kids. The kids won 3-2! I think the parents may have let them win, but I'm not sure. ;) Mj's last soccer game was very cold, but the kids had fun. Mj was awarded a medal and certificate tonight at their pizza party. Here are some pics!

Mj would be the one with the blue beanie hat =)
We tried to keep Jadyn warm!Nice goal kick!Did I mention it was freezing?!=) We're so proud of our soccer star!=)Mj thought he was a gold medalist like Michael Phelps!=)

Precious Moments

Jadyn turned 4 months old on Sunday! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is getting to be such a big girl. She's grabbing at her toys now and "talks" up a storm!! Tomorrow she goes for her 4 month check up. Can't wait to hear how big she's getting.
This morning I walked into the living and found Mj curled up with Jadyn. He was reading a Clifford book to her! It was so cute!!!
