Job's First Acting Debut

Sunday was our church's Christmas cantata. Job had his first acting debut as Baby Jesus. Seems he's quite the ham. Mark said Job wanted to see the crowd so Lindsey (Mary) held him so he could see the audience. He did what the song said, "No crying He makes". =) I had fun having a little photo session with him before he went on stage. As you can see, he has figured out he has a tongue! ;)

JOY - An Irish Christmas

On Friday night, Mark and I had the opportunity to go and hear Keith & Kristyn Getty in Ft. Lauderdale. We both love their hymns so we were so excited to get to hear them live. I cannot even begin to explain what a worshipful time those 2 hours were. Mark and I left so encouraged and joyful we didn't want it to end.

The church was beautiful

Tummy Time

It's always nice to have a partner for tummy time! ;)

Precious Hands

Last weekend, the kids made hand ornaments. What a fun mess they all made!

The kids love rolling dough!

Seriously, are his hands really that big?!  Makes me tear up a bit.  I kept telling him those are man hands not my little boy's hands.  He's getting too big too fast!
Princess hands.
Gabe was beyond excited about making his hands.
Teeny tiny hands!!!!
Hands on the tree.

So thankful for these fun memories I get to make with my kids.

3 Months Old

Job is 3 months old today!  He laughed for the first time this weekend.  He is cooing and smiling and holding his head up like a champ. His 3rd month will be pretty exciting.  His first road trip, his first time to see his extended family, his first visit to PA, his first time in cold weather, and his first Christmas!

Sibling Love

I love watching my kids interact with each other.  The 3 older kids love baby Job so much.  They hold him, hug him, kiss him, and smother him with love!  Job now lights up when he sees his big brothers and big sister and, of course, this makes the older kids just love Job even more! ;)

Mj helping me out and giving Job his bottle.

Smiles from big sis and baby brother.
Why is there no pic of Job and Gabe?  Well, I'm usually to busy making sure Gabe doesn't drop him and smother him with too much love! ;) LOL

Jesus as a Baby...

I love my baby boy Job!  My camera loves him, too! ;)  During the holiday season (especially when I have a baby), my mind goes to the thought of Jesus becoming a baby, unable to even hold His head up, unable to sit, unable to talk, unable to even feed Himself.  And knowing that He would grow to become a man and would sacrifice His life for me on a cross so that I would be free from my penalty for my sin, so that I could have a relationship with Him.  My heart overflows with thankfulness for Him, for His wonderful and gracious gift of mercy!
I also think of Mary and Joseph and what were their thoughts as they held the Savior of the World in their arms.  One of my favorite Christmas songs is called "Joseph's Lullaby".  It's sung from the point of view of Joseph. Here are the lyrics:

"Go to sleep my Son
This manger for Your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head.

Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Or does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?

Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait on more moment
Go and sleep in peace.

I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child.

Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes.
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine.
Oh my Jesus, sleep tight."

Makes me cry, thinking about it.
