CVS & Kmart Deals!
Here's my CVS run. Total Savings: $36.93 OOP: $0!!! I used my ECBs from last trip to pay for this!!!
I wasn't too happy with Kmart. They were doubling coupons (up to $2) this week (until the 25th so go to Kmart and use those coupons). Our Kmart was very poorly stocked, as usual!! This is just a fraction of what I had on my list to get there with my coupons. Total Savings: $9.56 OOP: 2.04

Kites & Bubbles!
On Monday, I gave Mj off school and we packed a lunch and headed to Shanks Park with kite and bubbles in toe! We had a lot of fun, even if it was a bit cool for a day at the park!

"The Power of the Cross"
Oh, to see the dawn
Of the darkest day:
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten, then
Nailed to a cross of wood.
This, the pow'r of the cross:
Christ became sin for us;
Took the blame, bore the wrath—
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh, to see the pain
Written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev'ry bitter thought,
Ev'ry evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow.
Now the daylight flees;
Now the ground beneath
Quakes as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
Dead are raised to life;
"Finished!" the vict'ry cry.
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.
This, the pow'r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Thomas Nelson Review - DVD Bible
I watched the Read and Share DVD Bible Volume 1 with my two year old nephew and my six year old son. They both were very captivated by it. My nephew enjoyed the animals, especially the two bunnies that were seen throughout the DVD. His favorite story was Noah and the ark. My son's favorite story was Adam and Eve. He did say that he did not like that the characters did not talk a lot. The narrarator did most of the talking. He also wanted to see Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego.
The thirteen stories are well done. They give all the details in the story in a quick three minute video so it keeps the attention of little ones. I do wish there would have been more of an emphasis on Jesus throughout each story as I have seen with other publications.
The DVD also included fun bonus material including coloring pages, chidren's interviews, and behind the scenes video.
Overall, I think the DVD is well done. I would recommend the video for families with young children, Sunday School teachers, or day care workers. It is an added bonus to our video library. My son has already watched it numerous times.
