4th Grade Graduate!

Mj is officially finished with 4th grade and is now a 5th grader! Gulp! I'm so proud of the work has put into his 4th grade year.  It definitely has been a harder year for him, but he endured and did well.  We acknowledge that it is only by God's grace that he has done so well.

Congratulations MJ!  We are so proud of you!

Holding his honor roll trophy and folder full of certificates!
Proud momma
Mark and MJ look like twins today! ;) I am so thankful that Mark works on campus and can be a part of these special days at school.
While Jadyn & Gabe were playing Mj wanted some pictures with Job.  He loves his baby brother! Jadyn was so excited for Mj.  I wish I would've had a picture of her face when Mj got a trophy!  She was beaming!
Mj loves carrying Job around.  He was going to show off Job to his classmates!=)

Our Curriculum Is Here

Jadyn was so excited to get a big box with her K5 workbooks in for the fall.  While we were living in PA I homeschooled MJ, but when we moved we put him in the Christian school here where his dad works.  So he has gone to school for 2 years.  Mark and I have always said we'll decide each year about school.  We have decided that this year we will homeschool MJ and Jadyn.  This will be a new experience homeschooling 2 kids, but I'm looking forward to having all my ducklings under my wings again.  I think I get as excited as the kids do when the curriculum starts coming in.  I've been looking through their books and seeing what fun things we will be learning this next school year.  It's been hard to keep Jadyn from working on her K5 books.  I've hidden them from her view for now! LOL  So as this school year wraps up and my 4th grader becomes a 5th grader and my little girl is looking forward to Kindergarten I am reminded of the task before me. I am looking forward to the next school year and what we all will learn together!

Awana Awards 2013

Wednesday night was Awana awards night.  The kids were so excited to finish up their year of Awana and receive their awards for their hard work.

The Puggles were absolutely adorable all lined up in a row and getting their certificates.  Gabe will be moving up to Cubbies in the fall.
Jadyn won Cubbie of the Year!  She was so excited to get a medal to wear around her neck.  She has only taken it off to sleep! LOL She will be moving up to Sparks in the fall!
Mj got an excellence trophy for finishing book 2 in Truth in Training
Jadyn & Mj pose with their awards!

I'm so proud of the hard work they have put in to memorizing God's Word.  My prayer is that these verses don't just stay in their heads, but they would permeate into their hearts!  That they would see how each verse is about Christ!

Mother's Day

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a mom of these 4 amazing kids! When I was a little girl, I always imagined myself as a mom but I couldn't have imagined the craziness of life with 4 kiddos! =)It was easy to be a mom to be Cabbage Patch Kids, not as easy to be a mom of 4 "real" kids! ;)  I'm thankful that God gives me the grace I need every day as I parent these 4 precious gifts and teach them of their Rescuer, Jesus and how much He loves them.
I am also thankful for my mom! She taught me how to be a mom. She never got to see me in my role as mom, but everything I learned I learned from my amazing mom. I didn't understand all that she did for me, until I became a mom and I look forward to the day that I can thank her face to face!
I love this picture of my family.  One of our favorite things to do growing up was camping.  I have such wonderful memories of our many camping trips!

8 months old

Yesterday, this cutie turned 8 months old! He's sitting up like such a big boy, crawling all over the place, roaring like a lion, and becoming quite the personality.  He sure does know how to grab the attention of people. I guess that comes with being #4.  He will give you that big smile and get a twinkle in his eyes and give you a look that says, "Yes, I know I'm cute!"

I'm still here!

Wow! I've been a horrible blogger! There's bit some sickness going around the family and busyness with the end of the school year, but I am here to update on life.

Job is sitting up pretty well by himself. He loves the Fisher Price Noah's Ark with the animals. It's definitely a favorite toy of his.
Job also started crawling this past week.  He's got the army crawl down and is really moving very quickly.  I forgot how quickly they learn to crawl.  He is all over the place now!  Where has the time gone?  He's my earliest crawler and I'm hoping this doesn't mean he'll be an early walker! This momma is not ready for that!! ;)
Mj's been keeping busy with school.  He is anxiously wanting for summer break!  He went on a field trip yesterday and had a blast!  I was thankful that my friend was able to go and take pictures for me. I had to practice with the jr high and high school choirs that day and couldn't go on his field trip.
Gabe has started saying, "I love you Mom, too" just randomly throughout the day.  It melts my heart!
Craziness and silliness are always happening around the house.
We've been watching the Miami Heat in their playoff games.
Jadyn has been all about feeding Job his supper.  It's quite messy, but they both enjoy it!
And just cause he's so stinkin' cute, I had to add another picture of the Jobester!
Poor Jadyn had an eye infection and ear infection.  She got the worst part of the sickies. I'm so thankful she is feeling so much better!
We were able to get some house projects finished.  We've been here in Miami for almost 2 years and we're still slowly getting our house to look like a home! ;)  We got our family pictures up with the wall decal my sis-in-law got us, a new dining room light.  My amazing hubby built our new dining room table and bench and we got some new chair from IKEA.
I also got this wall finished.  I'm so thankful for pinterest!  It inspires me! ;)
We've had some fun youth group activities.  We played human clue which was a hit with everyone!  I got to be the Babbling Baker.  Don't worry I didn't commit the murder! I had fun hiding in the kitchen for the teens to find me!  I believe this activity will be an annual event!  Everyone loved it.
Last week we had a French Dinner for the teens. It was fun dressing up and serving our teens!  The food was amazing and I'm not just saying it cause I was one of the cooks! ;)

So that is what we've been up to! =)
