An Adventure at Bass Pro Shop

On Saturday, we decided to take the kids to the mall to the Bass Pro Shop! It was a rainy, icky day so the kids were excited to get out of the house.  We haven't been to the one down here so it was a fun excursion for the family!

The boys decided to check out the shark at the front of the store.
Fun in all the "cars"
I think they climbed in every single boat.
Of course, the fish tank was a hit!=)
Trying this out.  We're probably going to buy this for the beach.  We'll especially need it when baby gets here!=)
Jadyn trying out the 4-wheeler.
This looks like trouble!

20 Weeks - Halfway There!

I cannot believe this pregnancy is halfway over!  I also can't believe how huge I am! LOL  Cannot wait to meet our little man in September!  Oh and excuse the fingerprints on the mirror.  I just cleaned them yesterday.  Who let the kids into the house?! LOL

A Backyard & Laundry Baskets

Last night the kids decided to take one of our laundry baskets and one of our crate bins out to the back yard. Here's what they did with them.

Mj made a full length basketball court.
Then Jadyn & Gabe took over the one basket so he decided to use the other one to practice his free throw shooting.
Jadyn though pushing Gabe off the basket would be a great idea!
Gabe got her back!

Fun with Duct Tape

The other day, the kids needed something to occupy their time. So I pulled out the duct tape and made them a road in our play room to use for their hot wheels cars.  They played with that for 2 hours straight and as soon as Mj got home from school he noticed it and went right for it, too.  Gotta love duct tape!!!

70 Degrees & Mittens?!

I guess 70 degree weather is mitten weather!  I was laughing so hard when Jadyn came outside all bundled up with mittens!  I told her that in Pennsylvania we'd be in shorts enjoying the day, but now being in Florida for 10 months makes 70 degree weather frigid! LOL  I guess we've adjusted to Florida!

Choosing the Perfect Name

So we're in the midst of figuring out what to name Baby Boy.  We've decided on the first name, but now to agree on a middle name.  I'm all about name meanings or the Bible character we choose, so it's a big daunting task.
Here are our other 3 kids names.
Mark John III (MJ) - My husband wanted to name him after his dad, which I thought was a great idea.
Jadyn Grace - Jadyn means "Jehovah has heard".  I had the name Jadyn picked out for either a boy or girl because we tried for over 4 years to get pregnant.  I was so thankful that God heard our prayers and answered those precious prayers with our sweet Jadyn.  We know that it is only by His grace that we were blessed with our daughter.
Gabriel Christian - Gabriel means "devoted to God" and Christian means "follower of Christ".  This is our prayer for Gabe.
So now to figure out this one's name....

Blog Party 2012

Ultimate Blog Party 2012

Last year was my first year to join the blog party and I was so excited to meet some new bloggers!  Here's a little about me and my blog!  I blog mainly about family happenings.  I also do some totschool and preschool posts with my younger two.

This is my family!  We recently moved (June 2011) from Pennsylvania to Miami, Fl.  Talk about culture shock! LOL  My husband is the middle school pastor at the church and works maintenance at the school we are a part of.  It's been exciting to see God work in getting us to Miami and we are enjoying our time here through the ups and downs.   We are definitely enjoying the sunshine and beaches!
These are my crazy kids!  I love them so much and am so honored to be their mom. This has been the first year that my oldest, MJ, has been in "real" school as he calls it.  He is enjoying school and doing so well.  He loves 3rd grade, but does tell me he misses homeschooling because he could be done at lunch time and then get to play wii the rest of the afternoon!
Jadyn is 3 and is the personality of the house.  She loves to read, ride her scooter, and climb on anything and everything.
Gabe is 2 and is a bit clumsy, but is our happy-go-lucky little man!

And this is our baby boy due in September!  We are thrilled that God has chosen to bless us with another precious miracle!
So that's a very quick intro to my family.  Hope you will enjoy your "stop" at my blog and leave a comment! I enjoy meeting new bloggers!

Before the Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above,
I have a strong and perfect plea:
A great High Priest Whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there,
Who made an end of all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb!
My perfect, spotless righteousness.
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of Glory and of Grace.

One with Himself, I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.

Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday we had our Easter eggs hunt for the kids. They had a blast running around the back yard finding all the Easter eggs! Here are some pics!

Trying to get all the kids together for a picture.  Didn't work too well.
Jadyn running to get an egg.
Gabe got a little help from Streak.
Mj found the egg in the knot of the tree.
Gabe was excited to find the eggs in the scooter.
This egg ended up being the hardest to find.  Lyd and I had to play the cold/hot game to help them find it!

Christ is Risen

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
We fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave!

Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave!

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bow to none but heavens will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave

Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave

Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
The glory of God has defeated the night!

Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
Our God is not dead, He's alive! He's alive!

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave

Rise up from the grave...

Resurrection Rolls & Easter Eggs

Since we had such a busy day yesterday, we decided to do our Easter activities today.

We began by reading from the Jesus Storybook Bible.  We read the crucifixion account.
Then the kids helped me make Resurrection Rolls as we discussed Jesus' death.
We read the Resurrection account and got ready to enjoy our yummy Resurrection Rolls.
The tomb is empty!  He is risen!!!
Then we dyed some Easter eggs.  We tried some tie dye eggs.
And just soaking some eggs in dye.
Beautiful Easter eggs.
We look forward to celebrating our risen Savior tomorrow at church.  We'll also have an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon!

How We Spent Spring Break 2012

We were so excited for Mj's spring break! We made plans together of what we would do.  Here's our fun week!

We went to Matheson Hammock Park and enjoyed the beautiful day at the "circle beach."  The kids had a blast splashing in the waves, playing in the sand, and enjoying our yummy picnic lunch under a palm tree.

Gabe & Mj having fun in the water!

Jadyn decided to give Mj's goggles a try.
Today we went to the zoo with my sis-in-law and niece.  The kids always enjoy seeing all the animals at the zoo and, of course, cooling off at one of the splash pads.

The zoo crew
It was definitely a good day for the splash pad!
Gabe up close to a lizard.
Tuesday night the my sis-in-law and brother-in-law invited us down to South Pointe park for a picnic dinner and to let the kids run off some more energy!

The kids cooled off at the splash pad.
Then we headed down to the beach to play.
My kids are fish!  They love water!
On Wednesday,we decided to hang out at home and get our pool out.  I think the kids spent 3 hours splashing around in the pool!  They had so much fun!

Having a blast!!!
So much fun!
We woke up to rain so our plans to go to Key Biscayne didn't happen so we decided to make a lazy Thursday out of our day.

Jadyn & Gabe raced Hot Wheels!
Mj enjoyed playing lego games on my ipad.
Play-do is always a great rainy day activity.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch and watched Scooby-doo!
The sun came out in the afternoon so we got the sprinkler out for some outside fun!
This was ultrasound day!  Mj and Jadyn were so excited to go with us and see the baby!  That night we had a gender reveal party.

The cake!
It was quite the party!  Lyd and Marcus were over, My family skyped us on my ipad, Mark's family facetimed on Marcus' ipad and Benny facetimed us on Marcus' iphone!
Lydia had the honors of cutting the cake to see if she was getting a new niece or nephew.
Team Blue!!!
We had such a fun spring break!  We were worn out by the end of most days!  I'm kind of sad that Mj has to go back to school this week, but we're only a month and a half away from summer vacation!!
